What is a D Patch?
D Patch makes adhesive CGM sensor patches designed to add extra support around wearable diabetes devices. We offer different shapes, materials and colours for a range of popular sensors and pods.
Which devices do you make patches for?
Our current ranges include patches for Freestyle Libre 2, Freestyle Libre 3, Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7, Medtronic Guardian 4, Medtronic Simplera and Omnipod. Always choose the product made for your exact device before ordering.
What is the difference between cotton and smooth patches?
Our cotton patches have a soft woven feel with extra flexibility. Our smooth patches have a cleaner, non-fray finish. Both are designed to add adhesive support around the device, so the best choice comes down to the feel and finish you prefer.
Are D Patch sensor patches water-resistant?
Yes. D Patch sensor patches are designed to be water-resistant for normal everyday wear, including showering and exercise. For best adhesion, apply to clean, completely dry skin and avoid water or strenuous exercise for around one hour after application.
How do I get the best adhesion?
Wash the application area first and make sure the skin is completely dry. Avoid moisturiser, oils, sun cream and fake tan where the patch will sit. Apply the patch carefully and press the adhesive edges firmly for 60–90 seconds.
Can I change the patch without changing my sensor?
Many D Patch designs use a non-stick or cut-out centre so the adhesive sits around the device rather than directly on it. Check the individual product description for the exact design before ordering and remove any patch slowly and carefully.
How long will a patch last?
Wear time varies from person to person and depends on skin preparation, activity, water exposure and where the sensor is worn. Follow the application instructions on the product page for the best result.
Can I choose my own colours?
Yes. Many products are available as choose-your-colours packs as well as single-colour and assorted options. The choices shown on each product page are the options available for that design.
